The winner of the BEKA Design Contest

Oct 08, 2008

The moment is here... the winner of the BEKA Design contest is known!

It is Louis-Philippe Vancraeynest, Industrial Design Engineer student at Kortrijk's ‘Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen', with his original concept ‘Bend'.

Bend is an innovative design for a cookware range in stainless steel. The pots and handles are all made out of one piece, thus creating a fluent and elegant look.

The jury decided unanimously that Louis-Philippe's design deserved to win, because it was the concept that met the demands of the contest most. The BEKA design team will now look at the possibilities of the concept and present it at the international trade fair Ambiente in February.

The BEKA team thanks Louis-Philippe and all other participants for their efforts and wishes them the best of luck with their studies and their promising future career.
