This product carries the environmentally friendly Bekadur Ceramica coating without PFOA or PTFE. PFOA is a chemical that is used in the manufacturing process of traditional non-stick coatings. It is not present in finished cookware, so there is never a health risk for consumers, but during the manufacturing process the chemical can damage the environment and the health of factory workers. For the production of the Bekadur Ceramica coating no PFOA-chemicals are needed. It is sometimes said that if you would by accident overheat a traditional non-stick coating, PTFE-chemicals inside the coating could be released into the air. A ceramic coating does not contain PTFE.

Stainless steel

Stainless steel as such is not a good heat conductor. Therefore it will always be combined with a highly conductible metal (like aluminium or copper). This conductible metal will mostly be found in the base surface only. In other cases you will find it back all over the body surface, which we call multilayer material. Utensils made of stainless steel have almost unlimited durability, withstand all usual food and detergents and have a neutral odour and taste. Stainless steel can resist temperatures up to 250°C.

10 Years

The inox parts of your Beka cookware are guaranteed for 10 years from the date of purchase, provided it is used as per the use and care instructions.

The non-stick coating is guaranteed for 3 years from the date of purchase, provided it is used as per the use and care instructions.

This means it will be repaired free of charge or replaced if any item is found to be defective due to faulty materials and/or manufacture, during household use.

This guarantee does not cover defects caused by negligence, abuse, commercial use and/or normal wear and tear.

• Make sure the pan is clean and dry
• Preheat the pan until it is very hot
• Dab the food with some kitchen paper to remove all juices
• Rub a small amount of oil on the food
• Put the food in the pan, with the nicest looking side downwards
• Don't season your food before grilling. Salt will extract water from the food into the pan.
• Create squares on your food by grilling it twice on each side
• Small portions can stay in the grill pan until they are done. Larger portions should be finished in the oven after grilling.

A ceramic coating can resist much higher temperatures than a traditional coating. These higher cooking temperatures make it much easier to grill.

I have been using this grillpan for a couple of months. A real pleasure to use. My absolute favourite.
